Heritage Park Inn is proud to be an active part of the community.

Over this past year we have been working very closely with The Osceola Human Services which is a division of Housing Initiative Partnership and Section 8 Housing Assistance program. Rose Hornedo, Social Services Specialist at Osceola County Human Services, has been sending families over to us who are in transition, whether it may be due to a loss of their home because of fire, the economy or on the verge of being homeless. Each family is thoroughly screened before being placed at our hotel. The range of stay averages from 2 weeks to 2 months.

Before a family arrives, each staff member is notified that we will be the host hotel for a new family in need. We welcome each family with open arms; we make sure that they become part of our family. Speaking to the families and hearing their stories, which are all so different in so many ways, it really makes you think how life can change in an instant. These families have brought a new outlook to each of us.

When it is time for the family to check out because they will be placed in a permanent home, it is both sad, and a happy occasion for all of us.

We look forward each and every time that Rose sends over the next family to the Heritage Park Inn.
